Five Funny Moments in Melbourne East: Visiting Myuna Farm on September 8, 2018

For so long being trapped in a gloomy weather, today Saturday my husband doesn't have to work on the weekend. We absolutely feel that today is the best day after checking on the weather forecast. I hate surprises, but my husband likes to make plans at the last minute which totally I disagree. I am a kind of person who doesn't want to be caught off guard and at least I am prepared.

But anyways,  I suggested that we go to an indoor playground. However, he was researching and he found this farm nearby where the kids can pat and pet the animals. I don't feel like going because I have a lot of things to do, but in the end, I just agree to join them.

Myuna Farm made it to top google list nearby next to what is in Ferntree Gully.  Driving there takes 15 minutes and 500m from the main highway of Clow street. To be exact, the location is at 182 Kidds Rd, Doveton Vic.

Well.. today is not an ordinary day. There's are many guests waiting for the queue to get the family ticket cost 30 dollars for the family. And plus the pony ride and train ride on the top of that will it end up for us paying 48 dollars. Every day of the year, they open from 10 to 4 in the afternoon. The next time we come back, we would like to purchase their annual family membership which cost 130 dollars. How cool was that!

Anyways, I would like to share with you our top 5 most of embarrassing and funny moments in Myuna farm.

1. When you pay the ticket ahead, the cashier would think you didn't have an entry ticket because you jump in the queue.

" Where you going you two?" The ticketing guy tried to stop us thinking we didn't pay. But, we showed our tickets.

My husband replied," remember us."

And he let us go. Because after my husband bought the ticket, he has to go back to get us. Which is very unusual for him because most of the buyers buy the ticket and get in straight away.

2. When you see wooden animals for the first time and wondering why they are not moving. All you need to do is to hug them.

We played around 30  minutes in their playground which made my son had his first encounter with the cow seat and he loves cuddling the wooden crow. My boy was so amazed and couldn't hide the joy seeing unmoving animals. He kept on coming back there and just hugging and touching them.
While Hannah was busy running around and trying all the slides, I am also busy chasing my son.

3. When the animals are cuter than you are. The reaction was so cute too especially when you see your children so comfortable with the cute animals. So adorable!

Then, later we took notice the area where animals had been displayed from birds to snakes and bunnies and Guinea. In that area, they can pat them, but no feeding. Because they have feeding trail, where food was provided in the entrance to feed the donkey, llama, kangaroos, and camel except horses. It took an hour to finish the trail. We have so many good pictures of the animals especially when we fed them. They are all so adorable.

Later on, we decided to take the train ride. However, we got so disappointed that we have to wait longer for the train instead, we moved on to pony ride before they closed. Hannah and Tibor were very happy having their first pony ride. Looks she was a bit scared but holding on the bars so as not to fall while daddy was taking videos and photos.

My boy was crying. And I can't figure out why, but after I took him for a ride, his mood changed and he was so quiet and behaved holding on its bars. I was really surprised because of he always so afraid of getting close to any hairy animals. That moment I see a confident rider and having a future in horse riding.

4. When you are riding a train tour for 5 minutes, and you have to wait for 30 minutes.

The ride wasn't taking that long. Then after, we fall in line in the train ride and wait for 30 minutes until it took our turn. It takes is all the way to a wetland. And to complete 5 minutes till we get back to the village. So after the pony ride, we had to line up again because we went to the pony ride and that last less than 10 minutes each ride.

While we were on the mini train, my son was playing with the container and he dropped it when we were at the wetland. Good thing it was in a halt to turn and the other passenger picked it up. We were very thankful for the kindness of other people. When we were about to go back, alongside kids were running while the moving train was moving forward. I know it is fun but it is very dangerous. Dad was still telling me what could have happened, then suddenly a boy tripped over. The truck driver had to stop to check if he was okay before he proceeded to restart the engine.

5. When you have nothing to do, you are trying to amuse yourself. The worst thing you could do is to climb the tree and take a selfie.

After the ride, we decided to hang around before to leave the place. And we took a few shots of Hannah on the iPad while she was up in the tree. I can't believe that apa also was copying her. He climbed high up of the Eucalyptus tree. The outcome was really good. But I have to watch both kids while taking a quick photo of him.

Three hours there is really good enough to make our sunny day happy. After the farm tour, I think it is about time to feed our little tummies. We went to the market and end our day with hungry Jack's meal.

Still not finish yet, right now we are in rowville playground. And having a quick side trip to the Lakes of the Rowville village and took us to Arcadia reserve between Taylors lane and Karramura Street.

There might be some imperfect moments, we just laugh about it. I know it is so embarrassing but we don't want to destroy the happy day for just a little mishap. There are more in a big picture than when we look and focus on a little speck. We just brushed it off and just smile. Life is not perfect, but indeed there is so much fun despite its imperfection especially when you are with the people you truly love. Just feeling so bliss and blessed.

Memories in Austria from June 7 to June 16

Day 1 in Vienna – June 7, 2012 Leaving Budapest makes me sad, but going to Vienna makes me so excited. Another cultural experience has been waiting for us. So, the day before we left the country, we made sure that we have the necessary foods for the trip and cash because we need to buy train ticket. We woke up early and started walking at 5am heading to the Train Station, Budapest- Keleti. We supposed to leave at 6:05 am; however, there was something wrong with the rail jet, so we were transferred to another train that left at 7:10. We reached in Wein Meilding station in Austria at 9: 58am. Of course, travelling is not really all fun. I felt so tired specially, you can’t sleep well and you have to wake up so early. This train or Railjet 60 is much faster than the train we had from Bekes while the train from Debeljaca to Becej is the slowest of all. This is really second to Bullet Train. They have comfortable seats and ventilations. They give us program to inform us about ...

Lesson learned: Expect the Unexpected

T raveling is not e asy e specially  when you have to step out of your comfort zone.  A ll the inconvenience, desperation, and unexpected troubles that happened during the trip  are  lessons to reflect upon.  We  have proven how risky traveling is  w hen my husband and I went to Europe for our honeymoon last year. T here were  times  we  put  our selves in danger because  we  messed out  our  bookings  and things didn't work out as  we  planned them. Since the first day of our trip, we were used  to booking our next departure  ticket  ever y time  we arrived in a city. It was in contrast on what happen in Sweden. We didn’t know that we had to book the ticket from Copenhagen. Apparently, we thought that we are getting ahead, but we are not. We had  to call Denmark's office to book the ticket knowing that we had no where to print it. It was a blessing that the S...

Letting Go of All Worries in Donna Buang Snow Mountain, Warburton | Snowplay | August 12, 2019

They say that winter always describes as cold, numbness, scarcity even associates with death. For me, that is snow, that is those days of bluster and ice that can be dangerous, but it can be also magical. It is a flash of diamonds that are covered everywhere. It is just all pure and white. May I wish that these thick pillows adorned on the trees and the soft and fluffy snow I am stepping on could heal all my worries about the future. Yet today, I am happy simply to walk with my family in it, it creates footprints of our own. The snow is soft enough that walking itself is very challenging because aside from it is so slippery, my feet are plunging to it. " God... please help me not to slip." The worried thoughts of a 27- week pregnant mommy me. And this is my winter pregnancy worries. Family on Snowplay in Mount Donna Buang, Warburton As I was holding Hannah on my left hand while I was holding the bars walking slow...
